What Is Thread Lifting?

Thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses temporary sutures to produce a subtle but visible lift in the skin. Instead of surgically removing loose skin, the cosmetic surgeon suspends it by stitching portions upward, pulling the skin back slightly to create tightening and lifting. In addition to lifting, threads stimulate the body's natural healing response, directing surges of collagen to the treated areas. Collagen plays a vital role in supporting growth factors, wound healing, and maintaining the skin's strength, volume, and suppleness. As we age, collagen production decreases significantly, causing up to 80% reduction in skin thickness by age 70, which results in excess skin, wrinkles, and sagging.
