Before Your Treatment

DO's

  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
  • Come with clean, dry hair and scalp (no styling products)
  • Eat a light meal beforehand (don't come on an empty stomach)
  • Bring a list of current medications for review
  • Get a good night's sleep

DON'T's

  • No alcohol consumption for 24–48 hours before treatment
  • Avoid blood thinners if possible (consult your provider)
  • Don't use hair styling products (gel, hairspray, mousse) on treatment day
  • Avoid excessive caffeine on treatment day
  • Don't skip meals

What to Expect

  • Mild redness, soreness, or pinpoint bleeding at the scalp (resolves within 24–48 hrs)
  • Temporary swelling, tightness, or mild headache possible
  • Shedding of weak hairs may occur initially as part of the renewal process
  • New growth is gradual and becomes noticeable over 3–6 months

After Your Treatment

DO's

  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first night
  • Use gentle, sulfate-free shampoo after washing is allowed (24–48 hrs later)
  • Stay hydrated throughout recovery
  • Maintain a balanced diet with protein + Vitamin C + essential nutrients (zinc, biotin, Vitamin D)
  • Protect scalp with a hat or SPF if outdoors
  • Follow up with your provider as recommended

DON'T's

  • No hair washing for the first 24–48 hrs
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga for 48 hrs
  • Don't scratch, rub, or pick at the scalp
  • Avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area for several days
  • No hair coloring, bleaching, or chemical treatments for 5–7 days
  • Don't restart topical hair medications (like minoxidil) until cleared (usually 3–5 days)
